Hamid did an amazing job cleaning and restoring an old kilim purchased in Kabul some years ago We had it in storage for a year and were concerned about its condition. He also brought back to life a contemporary hall runner that we thought had lost its colour permanently. He is a real professional and a lovely, friendly chap to deal with. We had a super fun time at Tufting life! The owner is welcoming and offered detailed instruction, which is perfect for beginners like us. Their unique pulley system + standing desk design made the tufting process effortless. There are also plenty of snacks provided. Absolutely worth every penny!

Found these guys online originally then popped over to their warehouse in Gracefield. Varinder helped show me some options for beautiful wool rugs and gave me advice on what might fit and look good in our living room. We ordered and had a very specific delivery window which they were able to meet. Rug arrived on time and in perfect condition. Needed a good vacuum to remove some of the fluff from manufacture but it looks amazing and I know it will last for years to come. Can’t recommend enough on quality, value and customer service.

The Rug Guru (Best Source of Rug Cleaning & Repairing)
I rang Hamid to get a free, no obligation quote on cleaning and possibly repairing a Persian rug that I purchased recently on Trademe. I had no expectation on the cost but like most Kiwis I'm not an expert on Persian rugs. I approached him with a budget in mind that I did not wish to exceed especially on top of the purchase price of the rug. I also listened to his expertise on what was required to restore the rug back to its glory days! In summary the quote was much higher than I anticipated and my heart sank bigtime.But then Hamid took the time to confirm that my rug purchase was an authentic Iranian handwoven 60-70 year old Persian rug that was still in good condition for its age but also its value was high. He asked really pertinent questions as to the fundamental use of the rug in my home to which I replied under a coffee table. Hamid then advised various ways to maintain and preserve the rug overtime. He gave his opinion and his advice on my options and left me to decide. The key element was explaining the delicate process and numerous labor hours required to clean and repair a rug without compromising its quality, as opposed to a typical quick machine clean by companies at a cheaper price. The great thing about Hamid is that he doesn't do shortcuts nor does he push the hardsell on you to grab your business. Its about the quality of his work matching the needs and expectation of the client.Hamid is a trusted professional and very knowledgeable in this industry. At the very least you should seriously consider his advice and services when shopping around. Its also a bonus that he's a nice guy.
