Ferrymead Heritage Park
Absolutely brilliant place to visit. Used to be a real life village back in the day. Not only can you see home and shoes how they used to be and the different appliances you get to see museum's of various things. So interesting. We'll worth the visit. Be prepared to spend quite some time there. There is a lot to see.

Avoid this July! My experience was really disappointing and I believe it was a waste of my money. It's a mess. Attending at night for the illuminate event will probably be better. My score doesn't reflect on the front of house staff at the main entrance and train driver who were all warm and friendly.

Absolutely fantastic. Hours of fun and fairly priced. We went on a week day and was very quiet, probably better at weekends when more events on and train is running. Would also recommend you bring a picnic as there are limited offerings at the cafe (front desk). Interesting for both adults and children, really recommend.

Ferrymead Heritage Park is a great place to learn about Christchurch' history. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly, and the exhibits are well-maintained. We had a great time exploring the park and learning about New Zealand's life style in the old day. We would definitely recommend a visit to Ferrymead Heritage Park to anyone interested in learning more about New Zealand's past.

A very interesting place to visit. We took our grandson Dane who thought a lot of things we described that we had used were so funny. Congratulations to the people who keep this Heritage Park ticking over and saving things that would have disappeared. We had a heap of laughs with the distorted mirrors. Recommend a tram ride. Richard was most informative about the tram and the Park.

Lovely place to visit! They have plenty items on display and sites to visit. We came on a Friday noon and there weren’t a lot of people at the park. Unfortunately, the post office was closed so I couldn’t send postcards with their special stamps.

Good place if you want to reminisce the old days. Their is a small playground and garden. You can ride in the train if they operate the time you will visit. It’s a good place for walking around and explore the place.

The heritage site is fantastic. The kids loved looking at all the old buildings and how things used to be. The tram ride was really neat also. We spent at least 2 hours here taking everything in.
