Excellent team here. Felt relaxed and thoroughly well supported during pregnancy, delivery and postpartum by Chontai Parker and her colleague Paige Smith. Thank you for your wonderful care.

Gentle Birth
You deserve the best care you can find. You might not find it here. Keep looking for a midwife until you find one that you feel comfortable with. If these guys are the only ones available make sure you have support from other sources as well (a good gp, naturopath, experienced friends and family). Don’t hold back from pushing for the care you need.

I had a great experience with Julie Kinloch. She was very calm and supportive throughout our pregnancy and labor. Thank you Julie for being a wonderful Mudwife. ❤️Saranya.

I hope I can give Zero stars instead of One. Very Rude & unprofessional person and judge others without much information. I emailed her to check if she is available but received back a huge email with rude comments. If you don't like your job and don't get paid much...then leave the job. No one is forcing you to do so. I thought you are experienced so I tried to approach you but glad that you are not available. One free advice, if you don't respect your work/clients then soon you would run out of work (Because then work would also stop respecting you).

EMPWR: Antenatal Classes
These antenatal classes were so informative, inclusive and holistic. The content is so carefully planned and thought about and delivered in such a fun and enjoyable way. I’m recommending these classes to everyone I know!

Highly recommend Bec Haywood she is absolutely amazing!! She is so kind, caring and lovely. Pregnancy and birth can be scary even with your second i felt like i was in safe hands having her as my midwife for both my children and no question went unanswered.

Tracy is legendary at her job. She helped us through having both our girls, and we would recommend her to all. She's very caring and understanding as well as knowledgeable and trustworthy.

MAMA INC
Poor midwifery care from LMC Adriana Yianacou. Poor communication, communication barrier, only 4 aftercare visits postpartum, gets other midwives to do the work as I was attended by 3 different midwives, she did not attend baby’s birth, was not introduced before baby’s birth to back up midwives, when my time came and I reached out to her I just got an sms with 2 other midwives numbers, did not know she was on leave. Enquire about complaint and referral to specialist response was that I’m over 6weeks postpartum, so her service does not apply any more, that was at 7weeks pp. When problems were addressed the response was midwives are under payed. Makes assumptions, justifies complaints. Bare minimum midwifery care, lost touch of midwifery care.

New Beginnings
First pregnancy, no friends or family in NZ.WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. The first lady gave prescribe me a wrong test, the second one hadn't read my file before our appointment so she didn't know what have been done or not, the third one called us on a Saturday morning that our baby may have Down Syndrome but that we cannot do any further test until the next Monday (enjoy your weekend), and on the Monday, she had forgotten to send the referral for the scan. I also learnt that they screw up the date for one of my blood test for DS and have to do it again (so have to wait even longer to know of DS or no). I finally change for the midwifery in the hospital. It is very hard to have them over the phone, you cannot let voicemail, you cannot send text, sometimes, I had to wait few days before being able to get them. Lack of information, lack of experience and above all, lack of humanity when it comes to announce bad news.
