This place is awesome. Family and I took some dirt bikes in for about 3 hours. It's got everything. Scenic overlooks, water crossings, mud, rock, steep inclines and declines, and more. Plenty of side trails and places to explore too.Trail is wide enough for all but the largest of off-road vehicles but I wouldn't take a fancy new Ute in there. Terrain is pretty rough in spots and traffic goes both ways!

Awesome track for families this one, in and out of the forest. Sixteen km there and back and it's a well maintained track. The Puketapu Pub is a great place for some lunch.

We mountain biked this yesterday (open to 4x4s through the summer) and added it to Google Maps, Museum, was the nearest place category GMaps offered.As Doc says this is remote ride so be prepared with ideally a personal locator beacon.We had the NZ Maps App with the cycle maps layer for the area down loaded so could track our location via GPS with no cell service.There are a few river crossings, recent wet weather will make the ride tricky they're cold!Halfway in (20km or so) the county opens out into the stunning Whanganui river valley.There is a fair amount of river Boulder metal used throughout the track so you'll be dodging boulders in your sleep after this.

Awesome people to talk to and get advice. Great workman ship and overall experience is top notch I would definitely be getting more work done to my 4x4 with them highly recommend

Great trails. Stunning...Great bike trails - from the easy trails around the lake to some really challenging ones in the forest on the hill. Beautiful town and lake. Excellent food and wine options everywhere in the town. The walks are stunning and there are plenty of things to do even if the weather is not good. Already looking forward to my next visit.

Did this a few years ago. What an awesome day!! Weather was raining and foggy so we couldn't see much (or anything), but it didn't detract from our experience. Puddles and wet tracks made for heaps of fun. Highly recommend to anyone looking for some action and adventure on four wheels.

They did not respond to multiple emails or FB messenger looking for a high level dirt bike ride for an experienced rider/racer between nominated dates in March - Finally rang them when I was about to come to Queenstown, To be told sorry we only do groups. This is contrary to their advertising. Waste of time. If they are knocking back keen cash customers they will not be in business long.
