A port terminal located in Port Chalmers.This one is a gateway port for Dunedin. You can catch the local bus in the Main Street for NZD$1.50 rather than spending cruise ship rates for the transfer.

I feel it is such a monopoly industry. Their system was wrong and they charged us the fee for not picking up the container on time. When we had wrong information from their system and we had proved it to them. They still charged the fee for not picking up the container on time and made us to accept the penalty. If we had wanted to argue, the demurrage fee was added up. Currently, Tauranga port takes 7 days to release the container. No one could have a say about the delay. But if you are late for 1 day, there is a bill waiting for you.

After you pass a bunch of factories and industrial area you will discover this hidden gem. It was to our surprise this place was bustling with young people.one of the most beautiful cities of new Zealand.This tour was the highlight of our NZ experience. Michele our guide was extremely informative during the whole day tour
