Been a small business holder and was trying to hold on a customs representative over the phone, unfortunately I’ve been advised that I have to go thru a broker even though it’s a small business which means it’ll cost more to cover the brokers fee too. Bit sad since it’s the first call I ever made up...

Horrendously slow getting international packages cleared. Waited over a week for a supposed letter to arrive in the mail saying how much tax I owed, which I didn't receive. Got my customs reference number online through NZPost, only to find that I've been charged over 1/4 of what I paid for the parcel to begin with. I previously have shipped through UPS (which have their own customs clearing), and they had the entire process sorted in two days (customs fees paid, package checked, and then delivered). Surely NZ Customs could at least send an email in less than 8 days.

2 hour line through customs on arrival at Auckland Airport. I appreciate the importance of biosecurityPerhaps Customs and Auckland Airport need to do better to show they appreciate the importance too. Their comments when asked about the inefficiency of the passenger movement and the way the lanes are incorrectly filtered when approaching customs ? That's just the way it is." Travellers be aware. Choose another NZ arrival airport."

What a great customer service. Special thanks goes to Paul. He was the only one who could help us with our problem and sacrificed his time to explain everything. Thank you to such a competent team!

Very disappointed with NZ Customs. They took over 10 days to release my package. Don't send anything by DHL. DHL charge for storage fee per day on every kg. I end up paying $540 for NZ Customs and DHL. Never recommend this place at all

Poor attitude from customs officer. When my wife travelling with my six month old son went through she was asked are you carrying any foods. She said only packaged sauce and chocolate. The officer then said so you starve your baby do you?" My wife indicated her chest as the baby's source of food and was ask "are you sure you don't have anything else?" Very unprofessional and un-kiwi."
