There are quite a few food outlets here including Ampersand, Brothers Beer and Saku Saku. There are a few spots in the front area but it is usually full.We stopped by for lunch at Ampersand and took a look around since we were here. There are a few shops around as well as a Farro supermarket. It's not very big but does have quite a few options for either eating or shopping.

If you are coming here for products that is completely fine because they have a huge variety of pretty cool things. However, stay away from the cafe. They serve average food on paper plates with disposable cutlery. Really poor service and no table numbers so waitresses get confused frequently.

Always such incredible donuts! Love the vibe and also love the warmth of the owner! I drive out of town to visit this place it's amazing - worth the trip!!!

The team at Mandatory are absolutely amazing to work with! Claire fitted me out with a custom made tuxedo for my upcoming wedding and I couldn't be happier. I've had pretty hit or miss luck buying off the rack over the years, though now I own one of the best fitting and classiest tuxedos in Wellington, heck, maybe even New Zealand. I will definitely be back to visit Claire and the team for future wardrobe purchases. Thank you again, you're amazing :)

Honestly i cannot recommend these guys enough. They’re customer service is superior to any company Ive shopped with. They know my size on arrival. They genuinely care about what I’m wearing. It’s an exceptional experience all together.Carl, Hoani, Harrison, Ted.. legends. The lot of you. I’d put a 6th star if it went that high.

Have been coming in to see Graig for many years at working style Parnell. Always top shelf customer service, they go the extra mile with and their clothes are very high quality. Easy parking right outside too.James AshwinKakapo Business

Wow. Such a warm and welcoming stay from Jen and Dewi. It really felt like a home from home and was really comfortable for our family of two adults and two children (6 months and 2.5 years) - the bed was amazingly comfortable and the shower has to be seen to be believed!Dewi kindly took our (tractor obsessed) son to see his tractor and then (hero alert) drove from their house to Hobbiton to reunite him with his fire truck that we had left behind!! Jen made us a delightful apple crumble to accompany the family meal we made the night before. Lots of great conversations in a very special house. Highly recommend if you’re in the area. Thanks for a wonderful stay!!

I wouldn't hire from Brides on Thorndon again. We hired our mens suits for our Wedding in April 2023. Firstly, I agree with all the other feedback that Jenny is amazing. Jill, the owner, however let us down and caused me a great amount of stress. We booked in our final suit fitting and flew up our son from Christchurch for the morning for the fitting. Jill failed to write the booking in her book and although they advertise they open at 10am on a Saturday, they weren't!. We waited 35 minutes outside. We rang and left messages and emailed. There is no mobile contact number for anything urgent, so we left to try to get suits elsewhere. We were called just before 11am to be told Jenny and Jill were now there. They had gone out for coffee. Jenny looked very apologetic, however Jill was adamant that as the owner she could shut up shop get coffee as she pleased. When I questioned her as to why there is no mobile number so people could contact them inside of working hours, I was told she didn't want to be on call to everyone and anyone. I felt completely dismissed by Jill and I found her attitude unprofessional. There are other options and as you cant guarantee that Jill will be open, or contactable, I would definitely look elsewhere. Its just too stressful dealing with her.BTW- the boys did look amazing and the only stress in organizing our wedding was dealing with Jill.

I party the street red everytime I come here , amazing chicken burgers by amazing staff
