Boat rental service

This is the best bargain in Queenstown - for just $9 you get a fast ferry ride out of Queenstown, around the point, then down the far end of the Frankton Arm to the Hilton. It's effectively subsidised public transport, but it's a great way to enjoy a cruise on the lake, and then a lovely walk back, for an absolute bargain.The trip leaves from just in front of the embarkation point for the steamer, is fast, fun and has great views of the town and then down the arm.Stop at the Hilton for lunch and get the next ferry back, or, do as we did and walk back - it's flat, has some lovely views, and the Boatshed Cafe at Frankton Marina makes a great half way stop for lunch.You can just turn up, but as numbers are limited, best to book, as they have no capacity to run extra services.And note, this is now a sperate service to Queenstown Water Taxis, which will do the same run for $50, but does have the advantage of being flexible with times and numbers, as it is a taxi, rather than ferry service.

Had been to some charters in NZ, enough to say Ultimate Charters is the best.Some of previous skippers will neglect you if you are beginner but Skipper Mal is very patient and happy to teach you details as much as possible. He is also very knowledgeable and people person, full experience and delicate to find the best spot. Definitely recommend to everyone and absolutely will come back again.

We did the 6-day:  Learn-to-sail then sail-yourself adventure in July 2020 having no previous sailing experience. It was the best thing we did - ever! Julie is a great teacher and we learnt so much. Sailing ourselves around the islands on the last 3 days was an incredible experience that we will never forget. Highly recommend Great Escape!

Shannon set us up with all the safety information and then let us go for 3 hours for 2 families with 2 jetskis. We had an amazing time. Would highly recommend.

What a great way to start the day! We freedom kayaked in the ohiwa harbour, out to Ohakana Island and back. We had 2 experienced in the group and 2 not so experienced. Kenny and the team were super friendly and made us all feel comfortable going out on the water by ourselves. The water was calm and the views were awesome. 100% recommend and we will be back. I had the pleasure of hosting my 21st birthday party with Ocean Groove Cruises. Everything about it was amazing! From the decorations to the outstanding views of Auckland City *chefs kiss*.
