National Distribution Union
Terrible union, when I lost my job last year, they said they couldn't help me because I don't work there anymore therefore I'm not part of the union anymore". That's why I paid union fees though

Crying out for pay increases during a lockdown is shameful for the bigger percentage of New Zealanders the pay increases will mean people on lower incomes will not been able to buy food disgraceful

PSA
The least effective union. Glitter filled emails targeted at a specific crowd. The bargaining processes is weak and not very transparent. The availability of union is also very low when contacted. I would not waste time supporting the PSA union. They also lean way too much towards the Labour governtment. At one stage they asked staff to write cards to the next possible PM - Jacinda before the elections. Disgusting!

I have used this union in multiple occasions. Rob has done a terrible job at all 3 meetings with employer meetings. He sides with the employer and does not listen to what I have to say. It seems like he has alteriave motives and when I was offered a new job he advised them not to hire me as I didn't do his course run by his wife. Don't join this two faced union" they should be ashamed. You know who I am Rob and you have my number . Your full of kaka bro."

It's a real shame that this union is turning the teaching profession into a joke - we are only 5 weeks into the school year and the teachers are only teaching for two and a half days this week. They blackmailed the government into a massive pay increase last year but still have to stop work tomorrow afternoon to attend union meetings, followed by a teacher only day and mid term break (neither of which makes sense only 5 weeks after the long summer break).

Unite Union
Very disappointed. Lazy workers and a bunch of liars. Please consider other unions as this one was an utter waste of time and money. No progress made whatsoever during my time in this union." Took 4 months for them to cancel my membership and numerous calls only to get a pile of lame excuses while continuing to extract fees fron my income. Vile people! Horrible experience."
