North Indian restaurant

Ate here on Good Friday when most other places were shut, and very glad we did. Really excellent food (and tons of choice), lovely attentive service, cozy decor, music at perfect volume - honestly one of the best Indian meals we've ever had. Prices very reasonable, too. Highly recommended.

Our experience here was overall mediocre, the food was delicious and delivered very swiftly but the service provided was 'meh' to say the least, the lady tending to our table was not attentive at all (Only visiting a few times to deliver food, not asking if we need anything e.g beverages, more food etc) - unlike the man behind the counter, if he had been our waiter the experience would have been much more enjoyable.The atmosphere in the restaurant was fine, the music was at a decent volume, the decorations were lovely and the warm colors made the place feel very welcoming.

My fiancé and I always order curry from here. The staff are really lovely, and the curry is amazing. Even introduced our friends to Curry Pot and they go back every time now too. The staff know us by name, and are incredibly friendly everytime I come in to pick up, with friendly greeting and all. I don't eat rice and even then they were really accommodating in offering alternatives. Plenty of vegetarian options, meat varieties, the atmosphere is great. Easily one of the best curry places in Newtown, and possibly in Wellington, and that's saying something considering how many food places are in Wellington.

The food was outstanding and tasty at the right heat. Staff was extremely friendly. The food arrived the quickest I've ever seen in the country by far. 10/10 for me

Our regular, consistently good food - we typically get Butter Chicken, Lamb Korma and Samosas!

Love bollywood always a pretty reliable tasty feed.Ordered delivery quite late last time first time I've been disappointed I'd rather have had a cheese toastie and saved myself a heap for a very average feed.Ordered delivery tonight hoping it was going to be as usual, not disappointed it tastes yum but.......dal fry should have lentils in it right? It's super tasty but it's just sauce someone forgot to add the slow roasted overnight lentils"Cmon guys love your food and happily pay the asking price and for delivery......often......don't rip me off!"

We were a group of 4 and had garlic Naan, butter chicken masala and a vegy dish as we had a vegetarian with us. Taste was good and nothing complain about, it was good value for money. The manager was very helpful and would return again

I’d have to say that the food here is the best Indian we have had in Auckland. We tried range of dishes from biryanis, dhal, saag and rogan josh. Everything was cooked to perfection. The food didn’t taste prepared or sugary which is what you get in most other Indian places. Very impressed with the quality and range. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Was recommended to come here by locals on the “Lazy Susan” page on Facebook and was not disappointed!Authentic food, all tasty and the service was great. Hosts explained the dishes and assisted us to chose the perfect dishes. Recommend the goat curry and the lamb sagwala..the mango dessert was such a palate cleanser and all handmade! We will be back!

We were intrigued by this place because of all the wonderful reviews. True enough, it does live up to all the positive comments! We were blown away by the food—garlic naan, Indian style butter chicken, chicken garlic tikka and dal makhani—and the service! Sherry was a lovely host. Everything tasted amazing. This place is now a favourite in Wellington!
