French restaurant

We had late lunch at The Brassiere. Outdoor seats in the garden. Waitress lady is very helpful and friendly. Their fish and chips are yummy. We had good experience. Please note that they do charge the credit card surcharge. Also be careful with your food as there are few birds in the garden and they can grab your food if you leave the food unattended.

I was here for brunch with few of my mates. I must say, I had a Mushroom on toast and it was absolutely delicious and heard the same from the rest of my team also. The staff was very polite and had some great customer service skills. Would definitely return and would highly recommend! Cheers

Super friendly staff. Great for a small bite and coffee. If you have a sweet tooth, should try out their small dessert platter along with a drink. The lemon meringue and hazelnut toffee tarts were good.

We came here for some latte art and this place did not disappoint!The atmosphere was cosy and inviting. The staff are welcoming and attentive.There's​ a great variety on the menu from breakfast, lunch, evening, desserts, wine and drinks. Compared to your regular cafe there isn't just one item on the menu that's vegetarian but a good selection of uniqye dishes.I ordered the Eggs Florentine. It came out piping with runny yolks, succulent mushrooms and banging flavour.My friend ordered the Smashed Avo Sourdough Tartine and she had no complaints even though she normally hates asparagus.We ordered a hot chocolate and mocha and got the most adorable 3D latte art. The drinks were delicious, they did not compromise on the heat. A bonus was that real chocolate was used, which mades a difference in quality that we could taste.The only issue was that we only received our drinks as we were going to finish our meal (which is understandable since of the effort).I would highly recommend this place. The food is top notch and the drinks are divine (caffeinated or alcoholic).

We had a lovely time at Apache, the food was great and the staff were all really friendly. We definitely want to try some other dishes out!

Decent French dining restaurant in a sweet little town. Service was exceptional. I would think their wines and ambience were truly the selling point of the restaurant and food is acceptable, from a tourist’s POV (and also one who comes from a metropolitan city). We had their pork belly, lamb and ducks for mains. The pork belly was nice, but something we can consume almost everyday easily in Asia so there’s nothing too mind-blowing about it. The plating on the lamb dish was confusing with too many things happening at the same time but flavours were interesting. However, as one reviewer mentioned, the sausage was just too overpowering for the dish and I felt that everything together made up for the lack of lamb pieces that actually were on the dish. My partner enjoyed her Brussels sprouts on the duck main. Bistro Gentil is one of those places that you wouldn’t mind checking out if you are in Wanaka but I don’t think it’s particularly memorable.

Awesome place. Loved the vibe and the owner really made our daughter's day. Once she'd finished playing on one of the 3 tricycles parked is a cute wee line, he brought out a fluffy for her without it being ordered and followed it up with a surprise plate of fruit, cheese and few chips with our burger (which we loved)

Authentic italian cuisine and dishes made to perfection. Loved the ambience indoors and outdoors both. The staff was great and helpful. It takes a bit of time for your food to come so allow extra time in there while planning around it. Highly recommend it!

Had dessert here last night shared the berry crepe which was excellent and good serving size for sharing. I also had a soy flat white the coffee was very well made and a lovely end to our dinner. Recommended cost $$
