I had Dr Maggie Chapman Ow 6.5 years ago for my first colonoscopy which i was naturally very nervous about. She was so calm and reassuring along with the rest of the staff at Mercy Ascot in Takapuna. I then had my follow up one yesterday. I wanted to make sure it was with Dr Maggie again and was thrilled when it was. Once again her calm and reassuring demeanor put me at ease and she made sure that i knew all the results at the end. What a professional and pleasant team they are. Thank you so much again. I have no hesitation in recommending Dr Maggie and her team.

Dr Marius was very attentive and responded fully to my description of my state of health (physically and psychologically/emotionally). He was able to provide me with relevant information to assist me in moving forward, and made referrals to ensure that anything needing to be checked could be checked. Matthew Connolly

I was sent there for a colonoscopy, Very fresh and modern with very pleasant staff.Although I had quite a long wait before the procedure in a private waiting room, It sounds like they were seeing lots of polyps that day so some procedures may have taken longer than scheduled, but from there it was plain sailing. I was wheeled to the recovery area, and as I had forgone the sedation I was able to get dressed and proceed to the waiting area where I was served a small plunger coffee and a sandwich that was much appreciated as I had not eaten for about 20 hours. There was a choice of sandwiches, I chose the avocado and chicken. Very nice.

My husband had a hernia operation performed by Dr Richard Perry at St George's Hospital in Christchurch.24 hours after his operation my husband was feeling very unwell and was vomiting frequently. He rang the St George hospital to explain his condition to a nurse. She was unconcerned by my husband's conditioned. She dismissed it and said that everyone reacted differently to the drugs administered during surgery and there was nothing to worry about. He rang the hospital a further 2 times as his conditioned had deteriorated during the 48 hours after his operation . Again he received the same useless platitudes. He was still vomiting and feeling a lot worse at midnight on Friday, so I drove him to the emergency department at the Christchurch hospital, arriving around 1am on a Saturday morning. It took a further 6 hours of agony for my husband to be seen and admitted to hospital before receiving some effective pain relief. It turned out, part of my husband's bowrl had been stitched during the hernia repair procedure causing a blockage. My husband did receive an apology from Richard Perry, the day after he was recovering from his second operation to fix the obstruction by a different surgeon. My husband and I both agree, the service from the staff at St George Hospital, when notified about his medical concerns after his operation, was unprofessional and very disappointing.dofferent Terrible after care service

There is nothing more that I was ever scared about than being probed (for better words) and boy was it a nightmare leading up to it, haven't been so scared in my life before as this is the first ever real medical thing I've ever had done. These guys were absolute GOLD - and I can't thank them enough for making such a scary process seem like nothing at all. Reception was lovely, the nurse that took me into a side room and explained everything was lovely, and hard case I thought it was awesome how she cheered me up about it all she was awesome. The two nurses in the procedure room were choice, and funny which made me a hell of a lot more comfortable about what was going to happen, and the doctor that did the procedure was great too, and very informative about it all. I was knocked out for the procedure which was choice, glad for that. When I came too the care was great, and you even get some sandwiches and a cup of tea for your trouble!!! all in all thanks to everyone there I was being such a wuss right up until the procedure and you guys made it all into almost nothing and it was over in no time. Best to get checked out, and while it's a scary ideal a colonoscopy ain't that bad as I found out, and to be honest the worst thing is the drink before - and even then I liked that as it made me feel well and truly cleaned out, suffering from some serious stomach aches as it was. Thanks so much, I won't be such a baby if I have to come in again in the future! your team is a credit to the name and the clinic, thanks again.

My husband saw Dr Lane last year and was impressed so we brought our daughter to see Dr Maggie Chapman-Ow recently. From the reception, to the specialists, and the dietitian, we would thoroughly recommend this practice. Nicola at reception was so lovely, she was very accomodating even though I had to change our appointment a few times. Our daughter was having really bad gut issues and we had been to the GP so many times without success. Dr Chapman-Ow diagnosed her with colitis and explained things without using medical jargon. My daughter found her easy to talk to. She was very nervous about having a colonoscopy but Dr Maggie and her amazing team of nurses helped her feel at ease. She has now started on treatment and her symptoms have pretty much gone.

Dear ReaderI have had experience of my stomach chronic infection by HP. My GP has not give me treatment after I have done gastroscopy while I have moderate symptoms. I call Dr Marius clinic, his nurse was realized my situation and contacted Dr Marius. I had phone consultation with Dr Marius. I got my medications to treat stomach infection. That happened just in three weeks ago. I am feeling better now. That is impressive experience and I do appreciate Dr Marius give me the right treatment and his nurse also to help me.ThanksJack
