Auckland Whale & Dolphin Safari
Eco tourism host that doubles as a research vessel monitoring climate change, whale and dolphin numbers. If you don’t get to see any dolphins they provide a guarantee on another visit for free. Sadly dwindling whale numbers means only a 1 in 3 chance of seeing a whale. We were lucky on this trip to see dolphin calfs up close. For those who might not fare well on boats, our time out on the water was very calm.

Excellent tour, the guide was efficient and knowledgeable, very sensitive to Maori Culture and pronounced Maori words very well... Saw some amazing things and stopped at a couple of extra places for quick photo's. The complimentary pick up and drop off from my holiday park was really wonderful. The boat trip was amazing, with delicious, hot, fresh food in the buffet.. Highly recommended

Carino Wildlife Cruises
I read all of the reviews for Carino before booking, and I am glad I did. Most of the people who have written negative reviews did so because they didn't get to see or swim with dolphins. This is explicitly stated on the Carino website, yes it is a gamble, but you're on a boat in the Bay of Islands, that in itself is so amazing!Carino is a small tour company, family run, and they follow the DOC rules to a T. The cruise was beautiful, we saw a huge pod of dolphins, swam to shore, hiked, had a great BBQ lunch, and a quiet sale back to Paihia. I highly recommend Carino other the larger tours.

E-Ko Tours
I recently went on the E-KO Tours 2-hour cruise in Marlborough, and it was an absolutely amazing experience! Our guide took us on a boat to Kumutoto Bay, where we had the chance to see some incredible wildlife on the way there, including seals, penguins, and various bird species. Although we didn't see any dolphins, the stunning scenery more than made up for it.Once we arrived at the island, we went on a short hike to see a 1000 year old tree, and our guide shared lots of interesting information about the area and its history. We also had the opportunity to spend some time on the peaceful beach and enjoy the regenerating native bush, just relaxing and soaking in the Marlborough Magic. What I really appreciated about this tour was the dedication to conservation - a portion of each tour is given back to local conservation efforts. And to top it all off, we even got to sample some delicious local wine from Yealands. Overall, I would highly recommend E-KO Tours to anyone looking for a fun, informative, and eco-friendly way to experience the beauty of Marlborough. Thank you, E-KO Tours, for an unforgettable adventure!

Professional staff help ease everyone's anxiety. They were kind and gentle with me (I am overweight and worried the seatbelt wouldn't do up). They were also kind with those just anxious about flying in general.Unforgettable experience

One of the best things I’ve ever done!At the start it was slow but then 15 minutes in we saw dusky dolphins. We drove for a bit then we spotted a lot of animals we walked out to the front and found Australasian Gannets, NZ fur seals, dusky dolphins and Fluttering Shearwaters! The Australasian gannets were so cool when the do there amazing free fall and they can reach up to 100 km an hour when they hit the water. We stopped at the island for the hour walk and we check the first blue penguin box none then we check the second one none but there was one left but the guide said we will check it on the way down. We got up there and the view was amazing! It was an easy way down the track in my crocs! As the guide checks the last penguin box she said quiet guys there are two blue penguins. As I slowly walked they were so cool. Back on the boat I get a free hot chocolate for walking to the top of the hill. On the way back we saw blue penguins in the water on the way back and a massive group of dolphins. Overall it was worth the money for me definitely recommended :)

Wings Over Whales | Kaikoura Whale Watching
This is an amazing experience. We were meant to do a boat trip but it got cancelled and this was so much better! The plane on its own is an experience, the pilot was great and so friendly. She spent time making sure everyone was happy with what they saw and we had a great time. I would just recommend a travel sickness tablet before because I felt quite nauseous with the tight turns.

Air Kaikoura Aero Club
Amazing experience!Took a whale watching flight with a few friends and the experience was well worth the price.Friendly staff, scenic views and we saw Orcas! The pilot did really well to make sure we got a nice view, no matter where we were sitting. I would definitely recommend it. Even if you don’t end up seeing whales (it’s never guaranteed) the views are spectacular.

Auckland Whale & Dolphin Safari
The whole experience was well organized, totally enjoyed. Emails were sent prior with all the details needed. Staff was friendly, knowledgeable and provided lots of info as we saw the wildlife. I had ordered a lunch and the chicken sandwich was very good. Muffin, cookie, and orange was also included. Saw plenty of dolphins, birds, little blue penguins, but no whales. The boat was put in idle and we floated amongst the dolphins. Lots of time for pictures. One of the dolphins said goodbye to us and did 3 jumps in a row along the boat.

The worst service I’ve ever got in NZ! We booked a tour from Queenstown to Milford sound with a glass roof bus. But the bus we got was an old uncomfortable bus without a glass roof. The bus driver was very rude! They sit me and my partner separately because the driver didn't bother to open the extra seat! It was a big disappointment and we don't recommend them at all especially if you're going on a romantic trip!
