Brewery

There are quite a few food outlets here including Ampersand, Brothers Beer and Saku Saku. There are a few spots in the front area but it is usually full.We stopped by for lunch at Ampersand and took a look around since we were here. There are a few shops around as well as a Farro supermarket. It's not very big but does have quite a few options for either eating or shopping.

Brewtown is awesome. They have a few bars, bowling alley, miniput, ice skating, go carts, food stands, axe throwing and do heaps of events. Great place to go if you're catching up with the boys and want to do a few things. It's also dog and kid friendly. Everything though, is rather expensive. A jug at a bar is $40. Would recommend that Sticki Chicken and the Waffle place and the service at Bone Face is awesome. Wild Kiwi is great inside, with Stills all setup and a pool table but has terrible service. Food is good though. There's also heaps of parking available and the food markets on Sunday are pretty good too.

100% recommend this brewery as a spot to visit when in Ohakune! Stopped in for a brewery tour which was led by Austin - super knowledgeable and passionate guy and really made the tour personal and enjoyable. Great hospitality and even better beer! Thanks for your time Austin and Nicole :)

Great service, food and brew. Highly recommended. Lots of parking, outdoor and indoor spaces (outdoor heating available). Room for kids to run around. Food came out around 15 minutes and staff were helpful and efficient.

Tucked away behind the old Milk Factory is the Matangi local. Brewed on sight they have some of the finest selection of craft beer. The atmosphere is great. Look out for the music and the food trucks.Must try. A real hidden gem.

We had 3 burgers and unfortunately all our patties were a little burned and the burgers seemed to be just thrown together. Overall they just didn’t taste really good. It was disappointing because this place used to be very good. However, the staff was friendly and we didn’t pay too much because of the Thursday special.

Great beer selection and the vegan jackfruit Thai burger was delicious!

Visited Tauranga today and was blown away with the sincerity, friendliness and helpfulness of this husband and wife team. Oh yes and the brews are also excellent. Thank you for a great visit.

Photos half way through after a long day on the track... we ate it and it wasn't awful but was very tasteless, burnt and poorly presented. Was very surprised after reading many positive reviews. Maybe we just got unlucky
