I visited White Orchid retreat with my mum who travelled from overseas. We wanted somewhere peaceful and relaxing, we were not disappointed. David was a fantastic host, he was attentive throughout our stay. We had treatments with Sam, my mum suffers from arthritis and had been in a lot of pain, Sam went over and above to help her. I would highly recommend White Orchid Retreat.

Beautiful venue and delicious food!The treatments were so relaxing and the therapist very friendly and professional. The weather didn't permit to use the outside pool area but will be back with friends soon.

I recently returned to Maruia River Retreat for another stay and I am happy to say that it just keeps getting better!Hosts Lasse and Cristina were once again incredibly hospitable and went above and beyond to ensure my stay was enjoyable.The nature walk was just as stunning as I remembered it, with the Beech Forest & the River providing the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The rejuvenating yoga classes were just what I needed to unwind and find my centre, and I left feeling refreshed and energized. The food was once again a highlight, with the emphasis on sustainability and locally sourced ingredients even more evident than before. I felt good about my travel choices knowing that I was supporting a business that values eco-friendly practices.The accommodations were just as comfortable as I remembered, with everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The attention to detail and comfort was evident in every aspect of the Villa, from the plush bedding to the well-appointed bathrooms. I appreciated the quiet time to myself to read books and simply soak in the beautiful surroundings.Overall, I highly recommend Maruia River Retreat to anyone looking for a peaceful and rejuvenating getaway. I am your son

I've been going to see Donna & Gordy for over 7 years now, and always go back when I'm in Tauranga! Their skills, individually and together, are a powerhouse. Both excellent massage therapists, with an incredible knowledge of how the body works, and a huge range of complementary skills. Gordy is a wizard at identifying and fixing long term problems that are beyond other therapists, and yoga sessions with Donna have focused on my specific needs and empowered me to continue improving in my own time. You know when you meet someone who knows their craft inside and out - and I wish all 'therapists' were as therapeutic as these guys. Add in their wonderful personalities, welcoming nature, and awesome humour; I couldn't recommend them highly enough!

Park is very small and the design is very old. The latest update on the concrete has transformed the park. However it is now gridlocked with people most days. In desperate need for extensions to at least double it's size to cater for the amount of people currently using it.

A truly beautiful place to stay and unwind and relax, stunning bush and river setting, amazing food and facilities. Villa was outstanding with the most comfortable bed and lovely linens, staff where so lovely and made you feel at home as soon as you arrived. Came away fully relaxed and rejuvenated, highly recommend.

My wife and I had a wonderful weekend retreat at Maruia River. Hosts Cristina & Lasse plus their team were extremely caring and thoughtful. The chalet bush setting is wonderful and the food experience was amazing. Plus, the yoga classes in the mornings. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to 'get away' and having a rejuvenating break from busy lives.

I had a wonderful experience with the deluxe spa package at White Orchid Retreats. It was relaxing, the people were lovely, the treatment was gorgeous, the pools were invigorating and enjoyable. I could not recommend this place more. I was the only person there when I went, during some seriously unfavorable weather! But still enjoyed myself thoroughly. 5 hours of alone time bliss :) thank you.
