First class products and honest, reliable service. Imported my first Zpao bike (350 watt) direct from the factory. The second bike, a Das Beast, I got through Wicked Wheels two years ago. It was cheaper, despite much higher specs, and less hassle than my first. A thousand kms on it in mountainous terrain and still going strong. Got a second bike for my wife from Wicked Wheels, but it had a problem which turned out to be a loose wire. They sent a replacement bike immediately before I'd returned the original. Bikes and Beyond Waiheke
We hired scooters a few weeks ago. Overall the scooters were okay, but tired. I’d like to make anyone considering hiring their bikes aware of a few things. 1) my helmet didn’t fit well, and there were no smaller options available. I had to wear a cap underneath, which wasn’t great. 2) the battery life isn’t what was advertised. We drove (two people on one bike) to Onetangi & back, and I was rather stressed we may not make it back. I only weigh 50kg, and my son 48kg. We did made it back with enough battery, but not comfortably. If you’re wanting to get around the island I’d suggest you hire petrol bikes from Island Scoots instead. 3) We pre-booked our bikes, but the bikes had been hired out when we arrived (even though we even pre-paid). So we ended up having to hire one bike from Island Scoots around the corner (they were AMAZING, and the correct size helmet). The owner was rather arrogant and not overly apologetic. He certainly didn’t try hard to make amends, such as a small discount for wasting our time and having to spend time finding another bike from elsewhere (which also cost us extra). Overall, buyer be ware… ! They over promise and under deliver.
