Wine cellar

Went today to taste wine and have a platter with the girls. The wine was good. The service was extremely slow, and only 3 people I could see when there was a birthday party in at the same time. That is one thing..but we then ordered the platter ...and it looked like a toddler had put it together.. 5 crackers , tiny slices of bread and tiny amount of cheese ..it definitely did not equal a $50 platter. To he fair, we did complain and they gave us a 50%discount. But I won't be going back there, nor will I be recommending for its service. The grounds however..outstanding.

My wife and I took a full day tour with Don. Had a fantastic day, the best wine tour experience either of us have had. Don has a wealth of local, and wine knowledge, with passion to match. He took us to some great tastings and favorite spots and we honestly would do it all again. Thanks so much, was a pleasure to spend the day with you

We visited on a Sunday afternoon for wine tasting and food. The wine flights were great (although limited in options) and the food was delicious. However, as the focus on this restaurant is on wine, I would have expected more from the wait staff. No explanation of the wine was provided at all while we were there. Service itself was fine though. In the end a great afternoon there with friends but probably wouldn’t go back.

I'm a local wedding photographer and feel compelled to leave Rossendale Vineyard this review after yet another wonderful wedding with their staff yesterday. The level of care, organisation and calmness Graham, Liz and their staff bring to every wedding is top notch. Their events always run like a well oiled machine and even us freelance vendors are treated with the upmost care and respect. I always look forward to visiting their beautiful grounds. Thank you, from a very appreciative wedding regular!

Organic wine producer in the Gisborne region. We enjoyed the lunch platter of salami, cheeses, crostini and olives. Having tasted a number of wines we purchased a bottle of Cheni Blanc and a bottle of Viognier. A pleasant lunch served by the knowledgeable front-of-house lady Worth a visit.

Absolutely gorgeous winery to visit ! We originally went to another winery nearby, but shortly left as we found this one instead, and we’re so glad we did ! The winery was so beautiful and a very calm atmosphere. Such a great spot to go on a date with someone for sure !We got a antipasto platter and also some bread and hummus, great food with such lovely staff.

An excellent way to try a large number of New Zealand wines if you have limited time. If you go with someone else and share your taste portions, it's pretty economical. The bread and dip was good. Staff seems knowledgeable, but I'm a wine novice, so probably not the best judge.

Magnificent creative garden, lovely decor. Some of their vines and homes were affected by Gabriel, show show them some love. I tried the Reds, and their Merlot had extraordinary depth and niceness.

We decided to check out SOMM, Princes Wharf on Sunday afternoon and had a very enjoyable time. Such a great concept to hero NZ wines and to do so by region and your choice / favourite variety. There are 4 tasting glasses to a flight and they are a generous 75mm pour so half a standard glass. Of course you can order by the glass or bottle, though many were taking advantage of the flight offerings.The decor is smart and sophisticated and the service outstanding - friendly and super fast to get your experience underway.Bruno from Chile was our SOMM / manager for the afternoon and was very welcoming and knowledgable. As the wine bar got busy there was a great chilled vibe as people soaked up the lovely weather whilst exploring the extensive wine list.This location has always had the benefit of wonderful sunshine most of the day and Sunday didn't disappoint - the glasses were sparkling and everyone was having a great time!Must say the pizzas were delicious and super light.Very impressed, we have needed a classy wine bar in Auckland for a long time - NZ wines focus will be a big drawcard.We look forward to many more enjoyable visits.

We had an excellent time tasting many wines. The staff here are personable and knowledgeable, and we received superb service, and had all our questions answered. I highly recommend you stop by this vineyard.
